Australia Day, Dos and Don’ts

In 2007 Australia Day, Google have a plan to fly a plane and capture a birds eye view over Sydney City and Sydney Harbour area. This plan was also to bring more exposure to the already stunning satellite images shown in Google maps. With the concept of illustrating info-graphic in the instructoart style, this print based work aims to show Australians how they could be creative and have a blast on their own with this special flyover. As thought starters, the illustration portrays a series of funny Dos and Don’ts for Australia Day 2007.

These twin ads appeared in various publication and local newspapers.

The animation concept reminiscent of the old slideshow when you are sitting in a classroom seems to be ideal with the instructoart style and took a sense of parody as if looking at some sort of propaganda message. Storyboard for online flash interactive banner shown above.
